The new “Dallas” series integrates more Latinos
Can we call this progress or an attempt to appeal to a broader audience?

Courtesy TNT“Dallas,” the mega successful series of the early 1980’s and ‘90’s, is making a comeback – and with a posse of Latinas in the cast.
The original cast contained one Latina, Barbara Carrera, known for her “femme fatale” character with a sultry-voice, Angelica Nero. However, the updated series which premieres tomorrow night on TNT, contains three Latinas – Julie Gonzalo, Marlene Forte, and Jordana Brewster. Not to mention the writer of the TV series of “Cane”-fame, Cynthia Cidre.
